Wax is best applied to clean skin that has not been exposed to the sun or tanning bed within 24 hours. If a sunburn is present, waxing should wait until after it has healed. The hair needs to be 1/4 in in length, about the size of a grain of rice or a sprinkle. Certain topical and oral medications also require a waiting period before waxing is allowed. Skin peeling agents such as retinol, and accutaine will cause your skin to lift and may lead to scarring. It is however recommended that you use a gentle exfoliant between wax appoinments, such as our FUR Silk scrub paired with our FUR Mit.

Our FUR Oil will be applied immediatly after your wax to soothe your skin and prevent bacteria from getting into open follicles. Your skin may be slightly red and feel tender for 24-48 hrs after your service. Avoid anything that will cause inflammation, such as - hot water (showering is fine), saunas, swimming, tanning/sun exposure, and any friction to the area until the skin goes back to feeling normal. For facial waxing, avoid applying makeup the same day as your service. For underarms, avoid deodorant the same day. Your waxer can explain the recommended FUR products that best fit with your after care needs. Add an ESTHEMAX Hydrojelly Mask to your services,  to cool and soothe your skin and eliminate after wax irritation.

I promise, it is not as bad as you think it is going to be. Lindsay is the biggest baby scaredy cat ever! She understands what you are going through, and allows for extra time to make sure you are comfortable throughout the whole experience. She will not pressure or bully you into continuing a service if you change your mind at any point. Let's start by making sure you are making the appropriate selection out of the 3 bikini services that are offered. We have the bikini line, which includes just what would show in a bikini, so a little off the top, and the inner part of the thigh along the bikini line. If you are extremely nervous, and unsure, just start here to get an idea for how it will feel. Next step up is the full bikini. This can just be a little more taken off inward from the bikini line, to prevent anything from "hanging out", or, we can take off everything in the front, as little or as much as you prefer. With the bikini full, and the brazillian, a triangle or strip may be left. Last but (literally) not least, the brazilian is any or all of the hair  you would like taken off in the front, but also includes the butt strip, just the hair on the inner part of the butt crack. Lindsay is a very efficient and skilled waxer, therfore, bikini services only take about 10-15 minutes.  She believes that getting it over and done with quickly is the best way through. She is likely to distract you by making you laugh or telling you one of her stories that will make you say "That was it?!" when the service is finished.
